Our friend Kadee Sweeney, celebrity master trainer, is sharing her favorite variations for the classic 100s exercise.
The Pilates 100s exercise was created by Joseph Pilates to warm the body up. The proper breath pattern is to inhale for 5 counts then exhale for 5 counts, 10 times – hence, 100.
When you do this challenging mat exercise, you will feel your body temperature rise while your core and lats activate. Depending on the level of difficulty you choose, you’ll even feel like you just did a challenging core workout.
Please feel free to lower your head and place your feet on the floor if you need to modify. Remember: good pain means keep going, bad pain is your body telling you to modify or stop.
